What is your favorite move to teach?
I live & love it all, but there's nothing like seeing someone's face light up when you teach them how to box and let them hit something. It's also pretty cool when I can get a female to lift heavy and watch her body completely transform...it's like magic
Name three absolute "no-no's."
One - No big ego's, be confident but humble at the same time. Two - Never think you know everything, cause you don't. And this last one is for all the Powerfit fans out there…"No Pattycake in the Gym!"
What do you like to do when you're not training clients?
Spend quality time with my family! Take Sundays off completely and get outdoors. Eat, sleep & breath everything & anything health & fitness related...I'm a fanatic with this. I really love music too!
Pink or Blue?
I like to look at pink but wear blue.

What is your favorite move to teach?
That's a hard question because there's so much great stuff out there, but if I have to narrow it down to just one it would be a good old squat. The squat is a fantastic exercise that targets the entire lower body while engaging several core muscles all in one movement.
Name three absolute "no-no's."
I'm going to change this from three "no-no's" to three "absolute-must-do's." First is consistency, consistency, consistency. If you really want to see results than consistency must be an integral part of your weekly routine!
Second is nutrition. Good nutrition is vital if you want good results. Third is good rest. Quality rest is key to recharging your body's batteries so you're always firing on all cylinders.
What do you like to do when you're not training clients?
I love my work and enjoy my clients immensely. When I'm not training clients I love to keep my body moving by engaging in outdoor activities. I enjoy getting away from it all and going to the beach to do wind sprints or to the mountains for some snowboarding.
Pink or Blue?
Blue looks sharp and gets the job done, but if my clients work real hard sometimes their cheeks turn pink.

What is your favorite move to teach?
The lunge. I guess I like it because I relate it so much to warrior poses and long, front stances in martial arts.
Name three absolute "no-no's."
The first 'no-no' that comes to mind for me is the 'no pain, no gain' expression. One should never disregard pain and instead listen to it and know how to adapt the exercise to get around it. Another 'no-no' would have to be not being able to find time to train - I've found that the average person can always make the time to do what they truly want to do. And, for my last 'no-no', there is no shortcut or magic pill that will deliver the healthy you - you simply have to do the work - but you could have some fun along the way.
What do you like to do when you're not training clients?
Telling jokes, working on the computer (which is why I need to train even more), practicing martial arts, watching martial arts videos and riding my motorcycle around beautiful Sonoma County
Pink or Blue?
Guess I'd have to say Blue, although I've been known to wear pink shirts on occasion.

What is your favorite move to teach?
I enjoy all exercise movements. I like to fire up muscles in a way they've never worked before to push the body to adapt and change.
Name three absolute "no-no's."
Never stop learning and educating yourself about health & fitness. Never think that you can't be open enough to let someone know that you don't know something. Never be closed minded!
What do you like to do when you're not training clients?
Be with my family and live & learn more about nutrition and fitness.
Pink or Blue?
I like to wear pink and look up at the blue sky.

What is your favorite move to teach?
So many to choose from, but I like the overhead squat because it engages the entire back, opens the chest and shoulders all while working the legs with a traditional squat. Try it, you'll like it!
Name three absolute "no-no's."
1. No thinking can't. (Usually means won't.) 2. No saying can't. (Still means won't.) 3. No giving up! Be the little engine that could. Think you can, say you can, then DO IT!!
What do you like to do when you're not training clients?
Improve my tennis game, spend time with family and friends, enjoy good food, go outside and play!
Pink or Blue?
Sorry-------both. The pink sky at sunset, and sapphire blue.

What is your favorite move to teach?
My favorite move to teach would have to be the barbell dead lift. It's one of the best compound lifts for building over all back strength and size. If done correctly, I would consider it as important as any other exercise.
Name three absolute "no-no's."
What do you like to do when you're not training clients?
When I'm not training my clients, I'm mostly training myself! I love the way I feel when I train.

What is your favorite move to teach?
If I had to pick one, I would say the dead lift, but what I really enjoy teaching people is how to connect the muscles being used as they push past their limits. This goes for people of all fitness levels.
Name three absolute "no-no's."
1. Not believing in what you want to achieve. 2. Sacrificing good form for heavy weight. 3. Looking at your fitness as another task in life instead of making it a lifestyle.
What do you like to do when you're not training clients?
I enjoy focusing on my personal fitness goals, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and going to the beach as well as any outdoor activity.
Pink or Blue?
I'd have to say I'm more of a blue type, but because I'm living with power, I'd have to say I'm a red, yellow, and blue.

Any move that will be fun and challenging for my clients. I like making fitness fun!
Name three absolute "no-no's."
1. No excuses! 2. No going through the motions - make it count! 3. No junkfood. You have to fuel your body with good nutrition.
What do you like to do when you're not training clients?
Play roller derby, go on hikes, head to the ocean, play with my dog, and continue learning about all aspects of health and fitness.

What is your favorite move to teach?
Ball slams! Because seeing people's faces when you explain to them that they're supposed to throw a ball as hard as they can against the ground is great.
Name three absolute "no-no's."
1. Never allow your back to create an unsafe arch. 2. Never limit yourself mentally. 3. When lifting objects from the ground never use your back.
What do you like to do when you're not training clients?
I like to lift weights, kick box, and hang out with my friends.
Pink or Blue?
Blue.

What is your favorite move to teach?
Hard to nail down one favorite move. Teaching proper technique on a bench press or dead lift is fun because it allows people to see how strong they really are. For the most part though, it really depends on the person I am training. Any move that leaves someone feeling good and wanting to come back for more is always a fun experience.
Name three absolute "no-no's."
One – No self-doubt! You must believe in order to achieve. Two – Don’t let mistakes, obstacles or challenges (in any area of your life) get you down. These are nothing but minor speed bumps on your road to success. Three – Smile and have FUN!
What do you like to do when you're not training clients?
Spending time with my wife is numero uno! After that it’s exercising, tennis, mountain biking and reading. Building relationships with wonderful people and living life to the fullest is what gets me out of bed each day!
Well, we all look pretty in pink, but I tend to lean more towards blue.
