Debunking The Weight Loss Nutrition Myth of Not Eating

Hi, this is John Logan at Powerfit Personal Training in Rohnert Park. I want to talk about and debunk nutrition for how a lot of people get it done and how it really impacts the results that you’ll see in the gym. Now, a lot of people are under the false impression that they need to starve themselves and do hours of cardio to find the results that they’re looking for, when actuality, we need to feed our body the right types of food and some correct strength training is going to be imperative. The reason why, if you starve your body, your body is not going to perform at its optimal level. It’s actually going to be malnourished and go into more of a sleep mode. You’re going to be sluggish, you might lose some pounds initially, but you’ll guarantee gain those pounds back because you’re not creating a lifestyle for yourself.

On the other end, if you eat enough protein, carbohydrates, and fats every three hours, spread out through the day and you challenge your body through strength training exercises, you’re gonna build more muscle, you’re gonna wake your body up, have more energy, you’re going to build more muscle, and you’re going to actually see the results that you’re looking for. I know it sounds like an easy concept but actually, it takes a little practice and it takes a little bit of work. This is John Logan. Remember, nutrition is equally important as the workouts that you’re putting yourself through. So if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment underneath this video or contact a Powerfit personal trainer. If you don’t get the nutrition right you’re never gonna see the results. Make it a lifestyle.
